Relocated Laminex's resin lines and vessels into a new line at their Auckland Board plant.
Key Features:
- Over 1km of Stainless Steel tube to provide resin from the resin tanks to the press.
- 4 Resin tanks in a bunded area.
- Relocation of pumps and valves from Auckland plant.
- Relocation of specialist mixing plant and platforms from Auckland.
Challenges:
- Measure up existing plant in Auckland for all pipe connections, so could connect new piping to plant when relocated.
- Installed all piping to pipe rack inside the building while good access was available before plant was relocated.
- Fabricated SS Resin vessels and installed in bunded area to meet HAZOP requirements.
- Optimised the salvage relocation and reinstallation of specialist plant pumps valves and mixers.
