PFS Engineering was engaged to manufacture 13 large-scale material-sorting cyclones for Fletcher Wood Products, supporting the new Laminex wood panel manufacturing line in Taupō. The project supported a significant production line upgrade.
Project Requirements
Fletcher Wood Products required large, precision-engineered cyclones as part of a new material sorting process for wood panel production. The solution needed to integrate seamlessly with a European-based design while meeting New Zealand quality standards. Partial assemblies were preferred to ease logistics and onsite installation, with fast turnaround and uncompromising quality.
The PFS Engineering Services Team Delivered
Working from client-supplied designs, PFS’s Engineering Services team transformed the specifications into shop-ready processing files, optimising them throughout fabrication. The cyclones were delivered by an 11-strong fabrication crew, backed by a skilled QA team who ensured compliance with NZ standards. PFS's purpose-built high-bay workshop allowed for efficient pre-assembly and streamlined logistics, demonstrating our ability to deliver complex manufacturing projects at scale and pace.
