Refurbishment work was carried out on the Economiser during a factory shut at Australian Paper. There have been several factory shuts where this work and other work has been completed for Australian Paper.
Key Features:
- Cut out tubes which had failed or were threatening to fail.
- Trimmed tubes above header and capped with a domed fitting, with access being very restricted for welding.
- Cut out sections of tube and replaced with new tube.
- After an NDT pressure test, the Economiser was brought back into operation.
